Excellent StayLovely comfortable room with a living space as well as beds, really friendly owners who kindly picked us up from the Miners Arms after tea, great breakfast and a top location above the Ystwyth Valley. Highly recommended!

Perfect location, excellent hostsWe can't thank Angela and Peter enough for the excellent hospitality we received on a recent visit. The location was/is perfect for our cycling break to the Elan Valley and also along the Rheidol Trail to Aberystwyth. An amazing breakfast was waiting after a perfect nights rest in a superbly clean and comfortable room which set us up for a challenging days cycling in a stunning part of the country. A last minute decision to extend our stay an extra night was accommodated with no fuss whatsoever which only added to the enjoyment of a perfect break away from home. If you are thinking about booking a room here, stop thinking and do it. You will not be disappointed. We cannot recommend Maesglas Uchaf enough and will definitely be staying here again during the summer.. subject to availability of course :)

Great place, perfect hosts. We stayed here on a Bank Holiday weekend and were absolutely delighted with the place. The rooms were spacious and had everything you needed, including hair-dryer, toiletries, razors and tooth brushes - we really didn't have to take anything with us. They had thought of everything. The hosts were great and even run us to the local pub for our evening meal, which was very kind of them. Breakfast was lovely as well, all with amazing views, not sure what else we could have asked for! Will definitely be staying again.
A pefect location for peace and quiet with friendly hospitalI greatly enjoyed my weekend in Maesglas Uchaf. One would be hard put to find a more peaceful location set in such a beautiful landscape. Ideal for walking, enjoying the scenery and watching the red kites wheeling overhead and a just short drive from the splendid Vale of Rheidol Railway.
Really good value, an excellant B and B.A great little B&B, Angela and Peter are perfect hosts, attentive but not obtrusive. The bedrooms are large, with a choice of beds and two chairs. Teas and a really good coffee were provided in the room and real milk in a fridge outside the room. Our separate bathroom was huge and a very comprehensive list of good quality toiletries were available should you need them. A big bonus for us was that our dog was also welcome!Breakfast was served in front of a large picture window with what, if it hadn't been raining, would have been wonderful views. Instead we watched the local bird population visiting the conveniently placed feeders. Many thanks for an enjoyable visit

Possibly the best kept secret, ever.Myself and OH recently stayed at Maesglas Uchaf – WHAT a find!EVERYTHING was perfect! Fabulous property in idyllic surroundings, our room was lovely, luxurious bed linen, towels and sumptuous dressing gowns, I can’t think of anything that hadn’t been provided - from a huge choice of beverages in the room to an equally impressive choice of toiletries in our private use bathroom – hair dryer, hot water bottle (it may be summer but this is Wales – though thankfully the weather was kind and we didn’t need it!) it was like being home from home! Having made our choice from a tempting menu, our breakfasts were cooked freshly at a time to suit us – the food was delicious, we breakfasted in comfort enjoying the captivating scenery through a wonderful picture window, and to my absolute added delight, able to observe the birds outside on feeders clearly enjoying their four star breakfast – seeing a “woody” (woodpecker) so close with its vivid colours was wonderful – I’m not a “twitcher” but do appreciate birds! In the past, wherever we have stayed, we always seem to be unfortunate enough to be allocated rooms that have a heard of baby elephants either above us or next to us, or nonstop traffic noise resulting in very little or disrupted sleep – NOT so at Maesglas Uchaf! How absolutely fabulous to awake totally refreshed after a truly good night’s sleep!Angela and Peter are wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble and their local knowledge is superb. Over the years, we have stayed at many posh-overpriced-understaffed places both for business and pleasure, Maesglas Uchaf knocks spots off them! A truly wonderful experience, one that we hope to be repeating soon!

What a FindWe were lucky to get a room over the May bank holiday. 2 or more night stay has a reduction in price. We received a lovely welcome and were taken up to our room. We had been given a family room and the room went from the front to the rear of the house with windows in both walls. The views are incredible. We have never seen a bathroom so well stocked with toilettries. Also, there is ground coffee as well as ordinary tea, earl grey, decaffinated and herbal teas

Rare FindHaving enjoyed our stay at Maesglas Uchaf B&B last night, we recommend it most highly. In fact we have already booked a future stay. Peter and Angela were most attentive hosts, treating each of our breakfast requirements individually. Not to mention getting up extra early so we could be away on time to attend a conference nearby. You won't find a better view anywhere than the one from their dining room! Our beds were most comfortable and, as others have said already, one's every need anticipated and supplied. Even down to providing decaff teabags for those of sleep challenged. Looking forward to our next visit, hoping we can manage to squeeze in an extra night. Thank you both.

Perfect Bed and BreakfastMy wife and I stayed here when visiting nearby Devils Bridge. The owners gave a warm welcome and the service was excellent in all respects. The room was well furnished, very comfortable and one of the largest we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was perfect with a lovely view. We enjoyed the fact that you are able to choose what you eat each day and the quantity can be varied to your wishes.A very enjoyable stay in a stunning part of Wales! Thank you for your hospitality.
